Welcome! We’re thrilled you’re here. Daryl Carter founded Genesis Sports Therapy due to his passion for giving athletes and the parents of minor athletes a safe and better alternative for sustained health and recovery from sports-related injuries.

Daryl understood first-hand the difficulties associated with the standard protocol for treating sports injuries and the dire consequences many athletes face. He was a high school and college athlete, the first in his family to attend college, and a stand-out baseball player. He was on track to achieve all he worked for, but few knew that he suffered an injury in his senior year in high school that would plague and derail his athletic goals.

The story, like many athletes, quickly spiraled into damaging cortisone injections with no knowledge that cortisone worsens the condition. Desperate for relief and to get healthy, he went to extreme measures to get more prescription medication. Other athletes would feign injuries to get medicines for him; he had multiple doctors and hid the fact that he was under the care of more than one physician, even stealing medication from the college training room. He was not just desperate. He was addicted to drugs and later alcohol.

The only thing Daryl wanted was to be healthy and continue playing baseball. Sadly, after two surgeries in two years, his sports career was over. His painful reality thrust him into a lifelong journey to find alternatives and solutions to give athletes and their parents a roadmap detouring the difficulties he experienced and viable, non-invasive, drug-free, non-addicting solutions for health and longevity in their lives and careers.
